I was ready a post by Tony where a product was being sold with two different covers. “Web design for internet business owners” has a plain cover. Its attractive twin “Design Secrets For Netpreneurs” is exactly the same product only packaged differently and selling for more money.
As much as I hate to see someone pay too much for a product, I do admire those internet marketer who put their private label rights to optimum use. With that said I do consider this one of the downsides of downloadable products with private label rights. How do customers know what they are really getting
In a brick and mortar bookstore you can pick the product up off the shelf, flip through it, and browse some chapters before you buy it. You know that the book your buying wont be selling next store with a different cover and price tag.
As honest internet marketers I think that when we take a product with plr we are morally obligated to improve on that products contents before we add a fresh cover and sell it as a new ebook.
