“Build it and they will come” is the famous like from the movie field of dreams, but when it comes to getting traffic to your website this theory does not apply. Without employing methods of generating traffic to your website your site might as well not even exist. Article Marketing is the most common ways of getting visitors to your website, and it also happens to be viral. Ezine Articles has a page rank of 6, and having articles published on their site will greatly improve your own website’s P.R. , and drive traffic to your site.
With each article you publish you will have a link to your web site. You include the link to your site in the “about the author” section of the article submission form. Your article becomes viral when other webmasters use your article as content on their sites. One of the conditions of using your article is that they have to include the about the author section that has the link to your site.
Because of the popularity of Ezine Articles they have added alot of new conditions for authors wishing to publish on their site. They have no love for private label rights, and you cannot even link to a site that promotes PLR products. You also cannot use affiliate links in your article.
I’ll be honest because of these new rules none of my articles have ever been passed by ezine articles. I wrote some fantastic content, but because I linked to www.InformationNinja.com my articles were not approved. Then I tried using www.k2cash.com as my link but it was also denied. I will be trying out a new strategy to so I can become a ezine articles author, but until then my articles have only be published by other article directories with less stringent rules.
Each article directory has its own rules, and your articles are reviewed by real human being before being approved. Some directories will only allow articles where each word in the title must begin with a capital. If you make a simple error, for example ”How to Be Number One On Google” your article will not pass.
Forum Marketing is easiest way of creating backlinks to your website. Search on google for forums related to your niche by typing (the name of your niche) + forums. Sign up for the forums of your choice, and put the link to your site in “your signature”. Then dive on in and participate in the discussions. Be helpful, share your knowledge, and offer advice. Do not blatantly promote your site. Forum members look down on this, and the moderators may delete these posts. If people like what you say they will likely click on the link in your signature, after all that is what it is for.
